Astral Triad of Divinity Necklace

The astral triad of divinities: Inanna, the stars; Utu, Inanna’s twin brother, the sun; Nanna, their father, the moon. In ancient Sumer the stars symbolized life force, the moon wisdom, and the sun justice. The Astral Triad of Divinity Necklace depicts the solar disc of Utu held in place by the 12 planets, or stars, of Inanna, while their father encircles them both with lunar illumination.  

DETAILS: A weighty pendant approx. 1 1/4" in diameter, available in sterling silver, 24K gold vermeil over sterling silver, or mixed metal sterling silver with a gold vermeil sun on a gold vermeil chain, each available on a 16" or 20" wheat chain. Adornments are handmade, resulting in subtle differences and natural imperfections for an ancient feel.
