24K Gold Vermeil

Our gold vermeil is a gorgeous, warm 3.5 micron thick coating of nickel-free 24K gold over 925 sterling silver, which is long lasting with the right care. Here’s how:

-Never bend or pinch to size gold vermeil pieces, the plating will crack

-Remove gold vermeil pieces before entering any kind of water: Showers, bathtubs, hot tubs, swimming pools, the ocean, ect.

-Remove gold vermeil pieces before any activities that could cause scratching: Exercise, sleep, ect.

-Remove gold vermeil before interacting with any chemicals: Cleaning, ect.

-Allow body lotions, hand lotions and perfumes to dry before putting on gold vermeil pieces

-Hang or lay snake chains flat when not wearing to avoid kinks in the chain.

-Do not use polishing cloths on gold vermeil pieces as they will strip the gold

Sterling Silver

Sterling silver will last a lifetime, to keep pieces looking bright, follow these rules:

-Remove silver pieces before entering any kind of water: Showers, bathtubs, hot tubs, swimming pools, the ocean, ect.

-Remove silver pieces before any activities that could cause scratching: Exercise, sleep, ect.

-Remove silver pieces before interacting with any chemicals: Cleaning, ect.

-Hang or lay snake chains flat when not wearing to avoid kinks in the chain.

-Silver will naturally tarnish over time, if you notice your piece is looking less bright soak it in warm (not hot) water and dish soap and gently rub dry with a soft towel.

 

24K Gold & Palladium Plated Brass

Our gold and palladium plated pieces have a yellow or white brass base and are coated in a thick 3.5 micron luminous layer of nickel-free 24K yellow gold or silver palladium, which is long lasting with the right care. Here’s how:

-Never bend or pinch to size plated pieces, the plating will crack 

-Remove plated pieces before entering any kind of water: Showers, bathtubs, hot tubs, swimming pools, the ocean, ect.

-Remove plated pieces before any activities that could cause scratching: Exercise, sleep, ect.

-Remove plated pieces before interacting with any chemicals: Cleaning, ect.

-Allow body lotions, hand lotions and perfumes to dry before putting on plated pieces

-Hang or lay snake chains flat when not wearing to avoid kinks in the chain.

Brass 

-Remove brass pieces before entering any kind of water: Showers, bathtubs, hot tubs, swimming pools, the ocean, ect., water may leave water marks on brass

-Remove brass pieces before any activities that could cause scratching: Exercise, sleep, ect.

-Remove brass pieces before interacting with any chemicals: Cleaning, ect.

-Allow body lotions, hand lotions and perfumes to dry before putting on brass pieces

-Brass will naturally tarnish, if you notice your piece is looking less bright, remove it from the chain (if a pendant) and rub it with the inside of a slice of lemon, rinse in warm (not hot) water and gently rub dry with a soft towel.

-Do not use polishing cloths on gold filled chain as they will strip the piece 

Gold & Precious Stones

These precious pieces are created to last many lifetimes, but still require care and attention to keep them at their finest:

-While gold and precious stones can be worn in the water, it is recommended to remove them when possible

-Remove gold and precious stone pieces before any activities that could cause damage or disturb the setting: Exercise, sports, ect.

-Remove gold and precious stone jewelry before interacting with any chemicals: Cleaning, hot tubs, swimming pools, ect.

-Hang or lay snake chains flat when not wearing to avoid kinks in the chain.

-If you notice less sparkle in your stones or scratches become evident from daily wear find a local jewelry store you trust to clean and buff your piece.

-For high price point pieces it is recommended to insure your jewelry.
